Practice shouldn't feel like guesswork

If any of these sound familiar, you'll feel at home in BandFlow.

You don't remember what you were supposed to practice

Last week's notes are in your head, in a scrap of paper, or in three different chats. By Wednesday you've forgotten the main thing.

The chord chart your teacher sent is buried in your inbox

Mid-practice you're scrolling through email looking for an attachment, or asking your teacher to resend it. Practice momentum: gone.

You have no idea how much you actually practiced

It feels like a lot. The next lesson reveals it wasn't enough. A timer that logs sessions per-lesson keeps you honest.

You can't tell if you're improving

Practice feels like a grind without visible progress. Streaks, stats and ear-training accuracy give you a feedback loop you can actually see.

Built for how you actually practice

Lessons, tools, timer, stats: everything in the same place, so practice momentum doesn't break.

Lessons & Assignments in One Place

Every lesson your teacher assigns shows up in your dashboard with its description, attached songs, chord charts, audio references and a checklist of what you have to do.

Practice Timer Tied to Your Lesson

Tap 'I am ready to start' on any lesson and the timer logs the session against it. Your teacher sees how long you actually practiced, plus what you worked on.

Ear Training, Rhythm & Chord Tools

Built-in trainers for intervals, scales, rhythm patterns and chord recognition, with weekly stats so you can see where to focus next.

Weekly Practice Goals + Streaks

Set a minutes-per-week goal and watch your streak build. Your teacher can propose goals too.

Stats That Actually Help

Time per focus area, your most-played songs, weekly trend, ear-training accuracy per interval. Real numbers, not vanity charts.

Comments With Your Teacher

Stuck on a passage? Drop a comment right on the lesson. Your teacher answers in the same thread, with the assignment in context.

See it in action

A real walkthrough: open your lessons, work through the tasks, and your practice time gets tracked for your teacher to see.

A real walkthrough of BandFlow.

A practice loop that compounds

Open the lesson. Play. Log. Move on.

Every session shrinks the gap between "what my teacher wants me to do" and "what I actually did this week".

One-tap practice timer

On any lesson, tap 'I am ready to start'. The timer floats above every page so you can switch to the chord chart or a chord tool without losing the session.

Tools that fit between exercises

Ear training intervals, rhythm tapper, chord recognition, backing drones, audio speed trainer. Five-minute reps that compound week over week.

Stand View for songs

Open any song full-screen: lyrics and chords at big sizes, swipe between sections, no sidebar. Distraction-free for when you're actually playing.

Open lesson, play, stop & log. Three taps, the rest is muscle memory.

Three steps from sign-up to first practice

No setup, no tutorial videos.

1

Open your teacher's invite link

Your teacher sends a class invite link or an email invite. Open it, create your account, and you land inside the class. Your teacher isn't on BandFlow yet? Send them bandflow.io/for-instructors.

2

Open your first lesson and practice

See the assignment, the attached chord chart and any audio. Tap 'I am ready to start' to log practice against the lesson.

3

Get feedback and keep going

Mark a lesson complete and your teacher reviews it. Comments arrive in your Activity feed. The next lesson queues up.

What changes after a month of practice

Three things compound week over week. None of them rely on willpower.

Honest minutes

Every session is logged against the lesson it belongs to. "I practiced a lot" turns into a verifiable timeline you can see and your teacher can review.

Stats that point somewhere

Weekly focus split, ear-training accuracy per interval, streak length. Real signals about what to fix next, not gold-star confetti.

Practice momentum protected

The timer floats across pages. Chord charts, backing tracks, ear trainer and speed trainer all live in the same app, so you never tab-switch out of focus.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about BandFlow for students.

How much does BandFlow cost for a student?

The Student plan starts with a 30-day free trial and no card. After that it's $9.99/month or $99.99/year, which you pay yourself; your teacher doesn't bill you through BandFlow.

Do I need a teacher to use BandFlow?

Not to use BandFlow, but the Student plan is started from a teacher's invite link. Learning on your own? Choose Individual & Band: it has the same practice timer, 30+ tools, goals and statistics, plus your own song library.

How do I sign up if my teacher invited me?

Click the invite URL your teacher sent (or the email-invite link). You'll land on a sign-up page that auto-joins their class once you create your account. No extra steps.

Can my teacher see how much I practiced?

Yes, that's the point. Practice sessions you log against a lesson show up on your teacher's Student Activity dashboard, including duration, focus area and the reflection note you added. They can spot where you're stuck without waiting for the next lesson.

Can I use the practice tools without my teacher seeing them?

Yes. The ear training, rhythm and chord trainers are your private practice tools. Only practice sessions that you choose to attribute to a lesson appear on the teacher's dashboard.

What about songs my teacher shares with me?

When your teacher attaches a song to a lesson, you see it in your Songs library with the chord chart, lyrics, key, tempo and any backing track or video reference. Tap to play, or jump to the chord chart in one click.

How do I cancel?

Cancel any time from the Billing page in your account. Access stays active until the end of the current billing period. No surprise charges.

Your teacher isn't on BandFlow yet?

Show them the teacher page. Once they create a class, their invite link brings you straight in, with 30 days free and no card.
